The Governor of Ekiti state who was reportedly assaulted 2 days ago by police officers has reacted after reports emerged that he’s about to go abroad for medical treatment.
Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has debunked reports that he is planning to travel abroad for urgent medical treatment due to the injuries he sustained after alleged police attack on Wednesday, Daily Independent has reported.
There were fears the governor will not be available for Saturday’s governorship election after reports emerged that arrangements are in place to fly him abroad as he is in excruciating pains.
But speaking exclusively to Daily Independent in Ado-Ekiti, Idowu Adelusi, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor said the report is the handiwork of the All Progressives Congress ( APC).
He said Fayose will be in Afao, his hometown to exercise his voting rights in Saturday’s election.
